8 REASONS TO CONSIDER A JUNE VACATION

1.  Discounted Rates.  Some weeks you can save nearly 35% off the normal summer rate. 2.  Better Fishing.  The fishing is much better for all species of fish.  Early June is always the best.  At this time of year Boot Lake is an above average fishing lake.  Check the "Fishing" link for more information. 3.  Warmer Than You Might Think.  The June 15 average is only 5* and 7* cooler than August 15 and July 15.  June always seems to have its share of nice summer weather. 4.  We have openings.  This is a good step to secure a mid-summer reservation.  Because our July and early August rebooking rate is very high, some past guests have been willing to take a June reservation knowing that current guests have the first chance at next years mid-summer reservations. 5.  81* Swimming Pool.  This is the temperature we maintain in our heated outdoor pool.  Also the lake is warming up and is acceptable for water sports for most people.  In a normal year there are usually people tubing and water skiing by June 10. 6.  Activities Program.  Our full activities program starts the first week of June.  This is not a "baby sitting" program.  It features quality and creative events that your kids will be talking about for the next year.  Check the "Activities" link for more information. 7.  Less Congestion.  Park Rapids doesn't experience "Brainerd style congestion"; never-the-less, some of our June guests like having fewer people in the area; the restaurants and shops are at full capacity, we just don't have to wait as long. 8.  Discounted Golf Rates.  Most courses participate in a resort golf week, offering discounted prices.  Also, if you book your cabin after April 1, you might qualify for up to 6 rounds of free golf at some of the best courses.  Check the "Hot Deals" link for more information.
